What's in a name?
If the name is Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantsiliogogogoch there is a whole tourist industry.
The visitor centre helpfully translates: "The church of Mary in the hollow of the white hazel near the fierce whirlpool and the church of Tysilio by the red cave". So it is clearly English that is the long winded language!

These small shops serve the residents of the village. Tourists normally go to the large general and souvenir store, which is opposite.

The Penrhos Arms at Llanfair PG
Perhaps the ideal spot to avoid shopping at the factory outlet opposite. There are more seats to sit and relax in, without the inevitable 'is it my colour' or 'does my b*m show' questions.
