If the name is Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantsiliogogogoch there is a whole tourist industry. The visitor centre helpfully translates: "The church of Mary in the hollow of the white hazel near the fierce whirlpool and the church of Tysilio by the red cave". So it is clearly English that is the long winded language!
