Tyn Lon Garage, Llanfairpwllgwyngyll
Viewed across the A5 Holyhead Road. The name Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch on the garage is a
19th century concoction. The village's original name was Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll.
A Londis store is on the left.

Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll from the Marquess of Anglesey's Column.
The railway and the A5 to Holyhead are clearly visible, with the A55 trunk road, which bypasses the village on the right, just visible at the top right of the view.

Study of a Gasoline Station
Esso, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.
This photograph is part of a series taken in homage to the American artist Ed Ruscha's 1963 publication of 'Twentysix Gasoline Stations'.
More properly known as filling stations in the UK, I am attempting to photograph as many as possible to mark the sixty year anniversary.

Neuadd Sefydliad y Merched - Women's Institute Hall
This is a rather special WI venue. It was here in 1915 that the first Women's Institute in Britain was formed, the idea having been copied from Canada. In the Welsh speaking heartland, the WI has largely been replaced by a Welsh medium breakaway organisation called Merched y Wawr (Daughters of the Dawn) formed in 1967.
