The War Memorial and Disused Railway Station
The Felinheli war memorial takes a very unusual form - that of a clock. I know of no other in the region. The old railway station [right], a particularly large and ornate building, became redundant with the closure of the railway in the mid-1960s. It has now been converted into small workshops.

Houses in Bangor Street, Y Felinheli
These terraced houses date from the Victorian period when Y Felinheli (then also known as Port Dinorwic) was an important slate exporting port. Prior to the construction of the Felinheli by-pass, Bangor Street and Caernarfon Street,(its western continuation), were part of the busy A487(T) road.
