This beautiful old place, Bron-Llewelyn, has seen better days. It is right on the A470 and adjacent to a tourist attraction.

Old Milestone by the A470, Tan-y-castell Farm, Bron-Llewelyn
Carved slate milestone alongside the A470 in front of Tan-y-castell Farm, Bron-Llewelyn. Caernarvon chamfered slate, probably late C19 and erected by the County Council. It also has some graffiti initials, presumably from passers by.
Inscription reads:- : MILES / FESTINIOG 8 / DOLWYDDELAN ½ / BETTWSYCOED 6½ / LLANRWST 10 :

A470 near Dolwyddelan Castle
The castle, whose outline can just be seen through the rain and the mist, is thought to have been built in the early 13th century by Llywelyn the Great. It is Grade I listed by Cadw.
