Not Closing notice
Notice on the High Street Image entrance to the Queen's Shopping Centre Image The Queen's Market, also known as Queen's Shopping Centre, is one of the few remaining buildings from Rhyl's rich history. Originally a ballroom and theatre, the building was almost totally destroyed by a fire in 1907 https://rhylhistoryclub.wordpress.com/2012/10/04/fire-at-the-queens/ and re-opened as the Grand Theatre, and later as a Futurist Cinema along with an indoor roller skating rink, to be changed into the market during the 1960s. In September 2015 there were rumours that the market was closing http://www.newsnorthwales.co.uk/news/154273/traders-dispell-rumours-that-rhyl-s-queen-s-market-is-closing.aspx Traders and owners Parker's Leisure Holdings were quick to squash the rumours.
