High Street, Syston
The first shop here on High Street is a flooring company; just beyond that is Beer Pharmacie, a micropub that opened in December 2018 with a 1950s pharmacy theme. When this photograph was taken Covid-19 restrictions meant that, in common with all pubs, it could not offer the normal service - but the sign outside advertises beer to take away.

The Fox and Hounds, Syston
On the corner of High Street and Melton Road. The rendered finish gives a rather bland appearance to the building, which in fact dates back to around 1600, and may retain a timber frame structure, possibly of cruck form. Listed Grade II.
