The neighbourhood beat covers Syston, Thurmaston and the rural villages of East Goscote and Queniborough. To reflect the diverse mix of urban areas on the border of the City and the more rural areas further out, it has a large beat team of 3 Beat Officers and 2 Community Support officers, each with primary responsibility for a particular area (see the team details below).

We will continue to patrol these areas with a view to reducing any future occurrences and engaging with the people involved for longer term solutions. Beat surgeries will take place at key locations.

You have stated that speeding and road safety use remains a concern. This includes parking causing obstructions and vehicles being driven in an antisocial manner

Regular patrols will take place at identified locations where it is believed that drug taking is taking place. Work will continue to identify offenders to disrupt and prevent drug dealing
