The Green and St Michael and All Angels' Church, Markfield
John Wesley preached at this church and on the village green 13 times according to a Blue Plaque on the wall of the far cottage. All three cottages are in the featured square, the grid boundary with Image runs through the centre of Queen Street to the left and just in front of the view point. (Taken on the corner of Church Drive and The Green, just outside the featured square, to avoid distortion of the spire in the photograph.)

Altar Stones and Blacksmith's Field
Prominent rocky outcrops date from the pre-Cambrian period. A regionally important geological site under County Council and Wildlife Trust management. Heather, gorse and grassland predominate. A high point with good views over Charnwood Forest. Recent management by the Wildlife Trust has included the grazing of Longhorn Cattle at the site.
