Holywell Mill, Ashby, following the fire
A view of the ruined Holywell Mill, following the devastating fire several nights before. The building is now a fire-damaged shell, and the two southern gables have now collapsed, due to the loss of support from the roof. The remains will be demolished quickly.

Holywell Mill ON FIRE, Ashby
One of Ashby's most well-known (yet neglected) landmarks, being destroyed in a severe fire. The building was in a semi-derelict condition for several years, before being bought by a housing developer. It was due to be demolished in the next few weeks, but the presence of bats prevented this. This is the worst fire in Ashby for many years, however the fire was later tamed, and the site was safely cordoned off from the public.

The only parts of the building to have escaped the fire are the outbuildings, though these will also be demolished.
