Ashby Health Centre
The former health centre on North Street, due to be demolished. It has been replaced by a larger health centre on Burton Road.

The "Cultural Quarter", Ashby-de-la-Zouch
With the physical development associated with the "Cultural Quarter" being this car parking area, as a label it is often mocked. However, this area is still relatively rich with cultural facilities; with the library and museum easily accessible, alongside the Hood Park leisure centre (left background).

Hood Park Leisure Centre and Lido, Ashby-de-la-Zouch
The current leisure centre opened in 1985, adjacent to an existing outdoor swimming pool. It was substantially extended in 2002 and refurbished again in the last few years. This entrance has been refurbished very recently, evidently with no signage yet.

Ashby-de-la-Zouch Library
Originally the town's school, built in 1836 and extended in 1912. The library has recently been converted to a so-called "Smart Library", moving most of its operations to automated systems. The area in the foreground is a small community garden.
