Demolished housing, Nottingham Road, Ashby-de-la-Zouch
The former site of Nos. 3-5 Nottingham Road, a semi-detached block of the same style as that to the left. Compulsory-purchased and demolished in 2022 for the purpose of constructing a new access road for the "Money Hill Development". It is proposed that the access road will be one-way, only acting as an entrance to the development and not an exit. A fleeting glimpse of Money Hill itself can also be seen.

Numbers 3 and 5, Nottingham Road (the semi-detached block on the right) will be demolished to make way for an access road to the planned "Money Hill" housing development. The two properties were sold (presumably to the developers) in September 2020 for the impressive sum of £580,000 each.

A Christmas quagmire at Money Hill, Ashby-de-la-Zouch
The public footpath running along the Southern edge of the Money Hill development plot, parallel with Nottingham Road, is reopened for public access. Distant evidence of construction is visible, with the foreground areas at the "messy groundworks" phase. The footpath is now very indistinct and waterlogged, but certainly on the foreground side of the fence. Camera: Olympus Mju-ii Film: Kentmere 400
