Ashby town centre and the White Hart
Looking west down Market Street, the main street of Ashby-de-la-Zouch. On the left is The White Hart, once 'the bawdiest public house in the Midlands', and where a glass panel in the floor reveals a pit where an 18th-century landlord once kept a bear that he would set on rowdy customers.
