Disused viaduct, Leicester
This viaduct once carried the Great Central Railway through Leicester, on its way between London (Marylebone) and Sheffield/Manchester. The line opened in 1899, but was closed in the 1960s.

Ceremony at the Bow Bridge
This was the day of the Reinterment of King Richard III, about one and a half hours before the hearse carrying the King's coffin arrived for a short ceremony.
King Richard III rode across the Bow Bridge on his way to the Battle of Bosworth in 1485.

New Leisure Centre under construction
Shown here in its construction phase and now officially known as The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Leisure Centre.
It provides sports and fitness facilities for De Monfort University collegiate and for members of the local community, boasting a swimming pool, climbing wall, fitness gym and multi-sports hall.
The centre was built as a replacement for the nearby ageing John Sandford Sports Centre.
