Sir Frank Whittle
This bust is located in the Memorial Garden in Church Street. Sir Frank Whittle, inventor of the jet engine, was born in Coventry but his company - Power Jets Ltd - was established at Ladywood Works in Lutterworth during the crucial development period, 1938-1945.
