Utilities box and a grit bin, Llanstephan
There was no identifying name on the box, located near The Old Vicarage. Clues to its use are a small aerial on the back and a notice on the wall stating that ear protectors must be used inside.
The dark green bin, containing grit or salt for treating the road surface in snowy or icy weather,
is one of several located along this steep road.

Road to Llanstephan Church passes Dol-wen
This is the first part of a long steep climb towards the church in the Powys hamlet of Llanstephan.
The two black and white posts mark the course of a small brook in a shallow depression at the edge of a house named Dol-wen.

Llanstephan church
This is the north side, with a lovely stocky tower on the western end. Interestingly the OS map marks this as "place of worship" rather than "place of worship with tower". It must have been a close call.
