There was no identifying name on the box, located near The Old Vicarage. Clues to its use are a small aerial on the back and a notice on the wall stating that ear protectors must be used inside. The dark green bin, containing grit or salt for treating the road surface in snowy or icy weather, is one of several located along this steep road.
