Metal post with attached metal plate by the former A6, in parish of HEVERSHAM (SOUTH LAKELAND District), Leasgill, by No.2 Milestone Cottage, High Rise House, on the verge, on East side of road. Winder iron casting, erected by the Milnthorpe turnpike trust in the 19th century.

Cycling towards Leasgill
These cyclists were two of several that passed on the quiet lane that meets the busy A6 just up ahead. Cattle and sheep graze in the pastures that lead up to the 29m drumlin above Ninezergh Farm.
