Metal post with attached metal plate by the former A6, in parish of HEVERSHAM (SOUTH LAKELAND District), Leasgill, by No.2 Milestone Cottage, High Rise House, on the verge, on East side of road. Winder iron casting, erected by the Milnthorpe turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : MILN / THORPE / 1½ / MILE : : 1826 : : KENDAL / 6 / MILES : : T WINDER / GATEBECK / FOUNDER : Milestone Society National ID: WE_KDMT06.
