Milestone north of Arkholme
The top facet says 'Arkholme', the south face ' Ky Lonsdale 4 1/2 miles, the north face 'Carnforth 6 1/2 miles Lancaster 11 miles'. At one time it appears to have been painted white with black lettering.

Old Milestone by the B6254, Higher Broomfield, Arkholme
Carved stone post by the B6254, in parish of ARKHOLME WITH CAWOOD (LANCASTER District), Higher Broomfield, Arkholme, Farm Entrance, on West side of road. Lancashire CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th century.
Inscription reads:-

No idea what it is used for (fishing clubhouse maybe) anyway it does have a letter box in the door, whether the Royal Mail do deliver I doubt it very much.
