Canal Milestone [?]
This otherwise unremarkable stone on Lancaster Canal towpath is exactly half-way between 2 milestones Image and Image Could it be a half-mile marker? It's not a boundary stone. There are no inscriptions visible. Any information would be welcome.
Update 11/10/2022: Having found and been told about other half-mile marker stones on Lancaster Canal, I am fairly sure that this is one.

Carved Stone between Milestones 24-33 and 25-32, Lancaster Canal
There are at least seven stones on the upper reaches of the Lancaster Canal that appear to be half way between two milestones. They appear to have been carved into a similar shape and size.
Approx distance to Milestone 24-33 is 0.475 miles up the canal and down the canal 0.523 miles to Milestone 25-32.
There are also winch points, but those have a different cross section and have been uploaded as winch points.
If you know of any other stones (please check my profile for those I have seen), or know more information about what they are I would be very grateful to hear from you.
