Skerton Bridge
The bridge carrying the A6 over the River Lune is a Scheduled Ancient Monument https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1005109?section=official-list-entry and Grade II* listed https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1212253?section=official-list-entry
Designed by Thomas Harrison it opened in 1787. An additional arch was added to the south end of the bridge in about 1849.

Skerton Bridge
Originally known as New Bridge and completed in 1788. The nearest narrow arch is used for a footpath.
It replaced a medieval bridge further downstream, close to the position of the Millennium Bridge. It was the only road bridge across the Lune at Lancaster, until the conversion of Greyhound Bridge in 1972 (see Image ).
