Skerton Bridge

Originally known as New Bridge and completed in 1788. The nearest narrow arch is used for a footpath. It replaced a medieval bridge further downstream, close to the position of the Millennium Bridge. It was the only road bridge across the Lune at Lancaster, until the conversion of Greyhound Bridge in 1972 (see Image ).
