Laurel and Hardy statue, Ulverston
Arthur Stanley Jefferson was born in Ulverston in 1890. He became Stan Laurel and died in California in 1965. The bronzestatue stands outside The Coronation Theatre at the bottom of Theatre Street.

The Laurel and Hardy statue is in front of the Coronation Hall in County Square. The plaque on the wall of the Coronation Hall behind the statue reads: The Laurel and Hardy statue was unveiled by comedian Ken Dodd OBE and Councillor Janette Jenkinson, who was Mayor of Ulverston, on 19 April 2009.
