Metcalf's warehouse, Bridgewater Street, Liverpool
Dated 1874 at the top. I believe that cotton was once stored inside. An elegiac sight. It is due to be pulled down in favour of flats. I don't know the state of the internal fabric (not much appears to remain), but it might have made for some interesting conversions.
At the time an antique dealer had made a home in at least part of the building.

Former warehouse, Watkinson Street, Liverpool
One of several good late C19th examples in the area.
This one looked as if it was still being used, at least partially.

66 Bridgewater Street, Liverpool
Former warehouse built "around 1857, by William Culshaw for Stuart & Douglas, ship owners, coopers and merchants", according to the listing. The painted sign of a later occupier survives, reading "Queen's Stores Company / Turbine Bags / Ships Chandlers / Sailmakers". Grade II listed.
Although not in tip-top condition, it was possibly still being used at the time.
