66 Bridgewater Street, Liverpool
Former warehouse built "around 1857, by William Culshaw for Stuart & Douglas, ship owners, coopers and merchants", according to the listing. The painted sign of a later occupier survives, reading "Queen's Stores Company / Turbine Bags / Ships Chandlers / Sailmakers". Grade II listed.
Although not in tip-top condition, it was possibly still being used at the time.

Wapping and the entrance to Wapping Quay and Queen's Wharf
The main road is called Wapping and the other side of the former South Quay warehouse, on the right, faces onto Wapping Dock. The road sign indicates Albert Dock because this is the car parking area for that more famous part of Liverpool's waterfront, which is further north. The photograph is taken from the end of Sparling Street.
