Sinclairtown Station
Closed in late 1969, the building burnt down either at the time or not long after. This is within the early childhood memory of the photographer but not enough to pin down the date.

Vanished Railway Station
The Fife Circle railway line passes under St Clair Street here. Sinclairtown Station was on this site between 1847 and c.1968 - the steel beams supported the booking hall and stairs descended to platform level. The closed-up doors and windows can be seen in the remaining stone wall - see Image for a view from St Clair Street.

The main street through the Sinclairtown area of Kirkcaldy is known, unsurprisingly, as St Clair Street and this view looks up it, away from the harbour area.
