Kirkcaldy.
On the way back to Edinburgh, we found a Fair was operating at Kirkcaldy. I wasn't very interested in the event, it was too flipping cold for a start, but was most intrigued in these two Scammell "Tugs" (this image and the next one). These would be the modern-day equivalents of the old Showman's Engine, basically a Traction engine but with refinements like an electrical generator. I would be most intrigued to learn the age of these two machines.

Old railway bridge, The Path
Buttress of a former railway bridge at the north end of Kirkcaldy's long High Street. The pipes crossing the road were making a sound a bit like augered grain, likely since it connects parts of a flour mill.

Replacement to the dismantled railway bridge
The view from the High Street of pipework which crosses the main road from Kirkcaldy to Dysart. The pipes follow the route of a dismantled railway line and appear to be connected with Carr's Hutchisons [Flour] Mill.
