Fife Coastal Path
The Fife Coastal Path (which is also part of the North Sea Trail) seen here leaving Kirkcaldy from the picnic area at Seafield and heading south towards Kinghorn and onwards. The houses upon the hill are built on the site of the former Seafield Colliery which was closed in 1988.

Harbour wall
The wall in this picture is part of a harbour which was partially built in the 19th century. Coal mining took place in this vicinity for many years, it came to an end in the late 1980s when Seafield Colliery was closed. Much of the site has been redeveloped with new houses.
