The entrance gate to the, now ruined, Thurso Castle
The incongruous blue wheelie-bin somehow sums up the difference between 'then' and 'now'. I just wonder what will be there in another 100+ years which would make the blue bin appear similarly antique.

Gate and Lodge
This was the main entrance to Thurso Castle, embellished with an extravagantly elaborate gateway and lodge with turrets and machicolations.
