Chessington: traffic light with mirror
The junction here, of Clayton Road emerging onto the main A243 Hook Road, has the stop line for motorists set well back from the stop line for cyclists. To me as a car driver at the front of the queue, the mirror only reflects down onto what is clearly visible in front of me; and it is surely of no use to cyclists as it is almost directly overhead. Therefore, I assume it is for lorry drivers who may not be able to see cyclists from the higher position of their cabin.
