This is the view from the Barge Walk, which is the Thames towpath upriver of Hampton Court Bridge. Ash Island is largely wooded but is surrounded for much of the way round by moored boats, except at the north where there is a weir.

Looking across to Taggs Island
This is the view from the Barge Walk, which is the Thames towpath upriver of Hampton Court Bridge. Taggs Island, which is on the left here, is completely surrounded by houseboats. There is even a lake in the centre of the island which has houseboats on it - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tagg's_Island
