The Thames Path at Hurst Park, in November
A fine Sunday afternoon in November. The path was bustling with walkers and cyclists (not to mention dogs), but I waited for a quieter moment to take this shot.

Boats at moorings, Hurst Park and Garrick's Eyot
View downstream from the Hurst Park bank of the Thames, with Garrick's Eyot just across the water. There is no bridge connecting the eyot to the mainland - the boats in the foreground are ones used by island residents to get to and fro. Within a few minutes of my taking the photo, both boats were tied up on the other side.

Garrick's Ait
This is the upstream end of the island taken from the Surrey bank. It comprises twenty or so chalet-type houses, can only be reached by boat and used to be known as Shank's Eyot.

An exotic conifer in November, Garrick's Eyot
I know far too little about exotic conifers to be able to identify this tree, but I'd guess it might be some kind of redwood, either Sequoia or Metasequoia.
