Former engine house and pump house, Portsmouth Road
Of the former Seething Wells water treatment works. Built c1851-52 by James Simpson for the Lambeth Water Works Company in a neo-Norman style (e.g. see the round-headed windows). Grade II listed. Some of these buildings are now used by Kingston University, the one on the far left is now a gym.

Water works building
The Seething Wells waterworks are no more, this is now a gym. Housing that has been built on the site of the works can be seen beyond along Portsmouth Road.

Former Waterworks Seething Wells
Originally built in 1852 to supply water to Kingston, this now-listed waterworks building designed by James Simpson was converted into a Gym in the early 1990's. It sits alongside the turnpike road to Portsmouth and the access road has been named after the original architect Mr Simpson.

Seething Wells Waterworks
Opened in 1852, the waterworks are now closed and the buildings are to be redeveloped. Between the buildings and the river are reservoirs and filter beds which are a designated wildlife area.

Old Milestone by the A307, Portsmouth Road, Esher parish
Carved stone plaque by the A307, in parish of ESHER (ELMBRIDGE District), Long Ditton, Portsmouth Road, East of Prospect Road junction, set in pillar of water works railings, on South side of road. Erected by the Kingston & Sheetbridge, 1st District turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription once read:- (TO) (Hyde Park Corner) (11) (Portsmouth) (58) The Waterworks railings and wall are Grade II listed.
