Bizarre sign
Someone created this design, someone ordered it, someone made it, someone put it up. No-one pointed out the obvious pointlessness of it. The reason is actually that the 20 limit beyond the sign was agreed after the one in front of it, so when the post was put in, it was going to have a 30 (end of 20) sign. Now it has a 20 (end of 20)! Take a bow Kingston Council! (though thanks for the trees)

Cranes Park, Surbiton
One of four roads with 'Cranes' in the name in this area. One of the houses has solar panels on the roof, one of many households that have taken advantage of a generous feed-in tariff that pays above market rates for electricity produced as a subsidy for the new technology.
