118 Burlington Road
Tidy, characteristic brick office block of the 1950s or perhaps early 1960s.
At the time it was occupied by Northrop Grumman, an American company specialising in "global security". An expression that nowadays in particular seems to come with sinister overtones. As a boy gripped by a craze for Airfix models I'm sure I put together a Grumman aircraft or two.

Houses on Rookwood Avenue
This dead end road consists of 1940's terraced houses. These houses back onto a very large B&Q DIY store and it dominates their rear gardens.

Rookwood Avenue
These terraced houses are on the east side of Rookwood Avenue a short residential cul-de-sac of the B282 Burlington Rd. The similar houses on the other side of the road back on to the small stream known as Beverley Brook.

Slip road, Shannon Corner
The slip road leaves the northbound A3 (Malden Way) at Shannon Corner, descending to the roundabout for the B282. The building on the right is Byfield Court.
