Taken in Birkenhead Avenue KT2 6RP, this photo shows the extension to this TE with mobile phone aerials on its roof, whilst the original TE can just be seen to the right of the photo. Kingston Upon Thames Telephone Exchange (1)
Situated in Birkenhead Avenue, this TE dates from the 1930s and used to have KINgston upon Thames numbers until the late 1960s. Operator services were also provided until more recently at this TE. The original entrance to this TE can be seen in the distance with its light brown doors and concrete frame, whilst the TE extension can be seen to the left of this photo.

Kingston-upon-Thames: postbox № KT2 127, London Road
A large Elizabeth II-reign postbox stands on the north side of London Road, not far out of the town centre. There was a London Road Post Office from 1 January 1901 (replacing an office named London Street) until it closed on 3 July 1985. I don't know if this is where it was, but the fact that this is a fat box is a likely clue.
