New houses on the Hawker site, Kingston
Hawker aviation occupied the entire block here until it was demolished and replaced in the 90s by these houses. The only condition was they kept the leisure centre for the public which was taken over by the YMCA and is very busy at all times of the day.

Recreation ground and housing
The housing is on the site of the former British Aerospace (BAE) site in North Kingston. The factory produced the Hurricane and Harrier jump jet but there is little sign of this heritage, not even in the road names. See http://www.moorewallpaper.com/Sopwith-wallpaper-15.htm
