Floral Court
Group of 1960s apartment blocks at the junction of Rosedale and Oakhill Road. Both Floral Court and Roasedale commemorate the rose garden and nursery operated by nurseryman Henry Weller from the early 1900s until around the 1950s after which it was developed for housing.

Murreys Court, Agates Lane, Ashtead
Very large C17th farmhouse. The interior is in places quite grand, with panelled reception rooms. The house retains extensive gardens at the back but most of the land once attached to it has been sold off and developed. There is an adjacent complex of outbuildings, including a threshing barn, dating from the time when the house was a working farm.

Oakhill Road
1960s housing built on a road off Green Lane on the site of what was from the late 19th Century until 1909 Sparrow's brickworks and then a rose garden and nursery operated by nurseryman Henry Weller. As the name suggests, Green Lane itself was originally a track.

Victorian postbox
Victorian postbox in Green Lane. I was surprised to find it in this road, given that its development started around the 1960s. However I have now discovered that it was moved here, having originally been located in Oakfield Road, around 500m away. For a wider view showing the location of the post box, see Image

Green Lane
Housing on what was (as the name suggests) once a track, with development commencing around the 1960s. For a close up of the postbox, which despite the age of the development of this road is Victorian, having been moved here at some point from Oakfield Road, see Image

Floral Pool
Part of what was a flooded clay pit for what was from the late 19th Century until 1909 Sparrow's brickworks. It was subsequently developed into an outdoors swimming facility forming part of a rose garden and nursery operated by nurseryman Henry Weller (hence the name). This ceased in around the 1950s after which the area was developed for housing.
