Tudor House, 66 The Street (A24)
Tudor House presumably dates from that period. There is a dental practice, and an estate agent based in the premises. On the left is a branch of Lloyds TSB Bank. To the right are two charity shops and yet another estate agent. The Street is part of the A24, a major trunk road, and it is also the village's main shopping and business street.

Ashtead Post Office, 39 The Street
The post office is also a newsagents. According to the shop's blind, you can also renew your car tax here. Many of the smaller post offices can't do this, which is a real nuisance. In 2008, the post office was raided, but fortunately the criminals responsible were caught and sent to prison.
