Footpath, New Haw
The footpath from the end of Grange Road towards Rowtown. Walkers can be confident of protection from marauding herds of sheep by dint of the erection of 6 foot high chain link fences along the full length of the footpaths in this area.

Ornamental thorn tree (Crataegus) in Woodham
This tree is in Holly Avenue, near Grange Road. At this time of year hedges along many roads are white with hawthorn. This type of pink ornamental thorn is seen frequently in towns. There are several varieties of pink thorn in the Crataegus family.
