Junction of Cambridge Rd the A2043 and St Peters Rd
The block of flats on the right is called Grantchester. The buildings on the left of St Peters Rd ( a Europcar car rental business and some other buildings) have been demolished since this photo was taken and a new apartment block is being built in its place between St peters Rd and Cambridge Grove Rd. By July 2016 the main steel frame of the building had been erected.

Former lodge, Royal Cambridge Homes
Now at the corner of the residential Cambridge Gardens, the Homes having moved out to East Molesey. They are homes for widows of soldiers, now extended to retired military women as well. The lodge has a clue to its original function - an 'RCH' monogram on its front.

Fire at Cambridge Road estate tower block
Black smoke and flames pour out of a residential tower block on the Cambridge Road Estate as a fierce blaze spreads through the top floors of the building one July afternoon while residents and commuters returning home stare in horror.
