St John the Evangelist: sundial
A wall mounted sundial dated 1997. The quotation "lux in tenebris lucet" ("the light shines in the darkness") is a reference not only to the dial's function but to St John's Gospel.

St John the Evangelist
Anglican Church in south Kingston, the church is also used for concerts and by local groups. Built in 1871-2 without a tower, this being added in 1935 but it is still marked on the map as 'no spire or tower' so the map is a bit out of date!
