This charming little house is, like its neighbours along Oaklea Passage, overshadowed by town centre blocks, such as the multi-storey car park you can see in the background. It dates from about 1820. Terrapin in the Hogsmill at Kingston upon Thames
Said to be a major threat to native wildlife, terrapins are quite common I gather. It's thought they were bought for fans of the Mutant Ninja Turtles then released into the wild when the novelty wore off.
