Former Bus Garage, Kingston-upon-Thames
Taken in June 2000, this photo shows the former bus garage in Cromwell Road, the postcode being KT2 6RD. It opened in January 1922 and housed a large proportion of single-deckers in its allocation. Initially, it closed in 1984, but reopened in June 1987 for the operation of Westlink services. It finally closed on the 12th May 2000, with vehicles being transferred to a new bus depot in Jubilee Way, Tolworth, TQ1965 refers. Since this photo was taken, the garage has been demolished and a cinema complex now occupies it. The white building above the garage is Bentalls department store, but this has now moved to nearby Wood Street.

Cromwell Road bus station, Kingston (1)
For some reason, Kingston has two bus stations; Cromwell Road is the main one, served by nearly all routes that serve Kingston town centre. There are four drive through bays on Cromwell Road (foreground), and 13 drive in/reverse out bays in the bus station proper.

Former Bus Station, Kingston-upon-Thames
Taken in June 2000, this photo shows the bus station in Clarence Street which opened in 1928 and closed in May 2000. The bus garage was located behind it. Soon after this photo was taken, the site was demolished and a cinema complex now occupies it.
