Ayr Pavilion, South Ayrshire
Built in 1911, Ayr Pavilion was originally a dance hall, theatre and music venue before becoming infamous as the location of the Hanger 13 nightclub in the early 1990s. The club closed in 1995 amid much controversy. Today Ayr Pavilion is in use as a children’s adventure play area.

Designed by James Kennedy Hunter, a local architect, the pavilion was built in 1911 by the town council as a leisure facility for this growing seaside town. It now houses Pirate Pete's, a children's indoor adventure centre.
