World's largest haggis
This record-breaking haggis (1234 pounds - half a ton!) was distributed to the public in exchange for donations at Mauchline Holy Fair. The specially-made tank it was cooked in can be seen behind the "table" - it took two days to cook.

'Mauchline Ware' - Kilmarnock Road, Mauchline
Plaque affixed to the red sandstone building reads 'Until 1939 this was the site of W & A Smith's boxworks. For over 100 years 'Mauchline Ware' was made here and sent to all corners of the world. This building was the showroom and offices. This plaque was presented by the Mauchline Ware Collectors Club 1997.'

Poosie Nansie's Hostelry , Mauchline
This old pub was one of the places where Robert Burns used to hang out with the lads, drinking, singing and reciting his poetry. The photo is taken from the churchyard across the road, where Burns' wife and children are buried, as are many of the real-life characters he wrote about.

Mauchline Parish Church
The road in the foreground called the 'Cowgate' was the path of the original main road from Kilmarnock to Cumnock before the construction of Earl Grey Street which is now the route of the A76(T) road through Mauchline Cross.
