Muir of Ord war memorial
A side view of this war memorial, which is situated at the top of a slope, amongst some bushes and trees. An interesting style of memorial - a conical stone structure.

Muir of Ord station - western platform
The station was opened in 1862 by the Highland Railway to serve the town that was then called Tarradale but has since taken the station's name. It was closed in 1960 but reopened in 1976 and is served by trains from Inverness to Thurso/Wick and Kyle of Lochalsh. Although the station has two tracks to allow trains to pass, and the western one is provided with a platform and shelter, scheduled passenger services in both directions generally call at the eastern platform. The footbridge was immediately adjacent to the old road bridge seen in Image that was replaced in 2017 by the new one seen in this view.
