UHI Millennium Institute
The Executive Offices of the University of the Highlands and Islands is housed in this building on the banks of the River Ness. The building was formerly part of the Royal Northern Infirmary.

Royal Northern Infirmary
Much altered since it was first built in 1799-1804. The vaguely Italian-looking front extension with porte-cochère, added in 1896-1898 by Ross and MacBeth, had an operating theatre on the upper floor. The hospital buildings are now part of the University of the Highlands and Islands.
