Thirty minutes before the address by Drew Hendry MP and a 500-strong march through Inverness. Long short of the perhaps million in London marching, but a very personal march too for those who favour an independent Scotland in Europe.

Waiting for Scotland Stands Strong with Europe March, Inverness
The march was advertised as Scotland stands strong with Europe and attracted many with SNP banners (Yes) and saltires and EU flags and posters in different languages, but I was most struck with the simple Revoke and Rejoice.

Inverness half marathon, Bught Road
Just after the start of the half marathon, following Bught Road alongside the River Ness. In the blue vest is Weynay Ghebresilasie, from Eritrea, now running for Shettleston Harriers. He won the race in 1 hour 6 minutes.

Inflatable Nessie, at the Loch Ness Marathon finish
At the edge of Bught Park, on the bank of the River Ness. This is the Saturday afternoon before the Loch Ness Marathon, with the finish straight setup ready to go. Complete with an inflatable Loch Ness monster. Behind is a number of tents, including race registration, food, and the sports expo.

Winning the Loch Ness Marathon 2019
The approach to the finish of the Loch Ness Marathon, on Bught Road, passing a large inflatable Loch Ness monster. The winner was Isaiah Kosgei, from Kenya, running for Metro Aberdeen. He finished in a time of 2:29:31.
